"do you seriously think you're above the rules" the stupid ones yeah
if you want me to follow the rules you have to make sure they're not stupid. this isn't a difficult concept to grasp.
So I've just been sitting here thinking "go loud" meant, like, "fuck shit up," right? But apparently it's an espionage term? It means "acting in a way that is likely or guaranteed to burn your cover," basically. Like, this is the moment we've been waiting for, go loud and get out. Or alternatively, shit is about to hit the fan, and you have no choice but to burn your cover to avoid the worst outcome.
Did everyone else already know this? Was it just me??
(Note: I haven't been able to find a dictionary definition or anything, just a bunch of examples of people using the phrase + one forum post talking about it. If you find a source, please let me know!)
It’s not the most original painting. I’ve done similar paintings before but whatever. I’m doing this for fun anyways so it doesn’t matter.
okay but can we talk about how miles telling his parents he’s Spider-Man is a better representation of coming out than I have seen literally any other media portray??? The fear of things changing, of backlash and anger. The hiding a huge part of your identity from the most important people in your life and accidentally creating huge rifts with them because you don’t know how to stop or how to tell them. When Miles and Rio are in the water tower and she says “You know you can tell me anything, right” and Miles say “I’m…….” And chickens out. That’s literally it. That’s what it’s like.
Sony really said “this pride month we’re going to have Miles Morales come out as Spider-Man, It’s going to make you feel like you’ve been roundhouse kicked in the gut and you’ll cry in the theater” and we should all be grateful
I want to learn to sword fight. Yes to be a badass, but also so I can stand around with my wrist on my hilt.
So slutty.
You know what I’m talking about.
